Tree Pruning and Shaping
Our certified arborists can care for your Southern Highlands trees by removing deadwood, pruning for aesthetic or structural purposes or to reduce the risk from falling branches.
Council permission and best practice
Council will allow pruning without a permit, as outlined on the Wingecarribee Shire Council website. Our AQF Level 3 Arborist can provide a professional opinion supporting the pruning in writing for Council if required.
Please note that tree topping (cutting away part or all of a tree’s foliage crown) or tree lopping (cutting between branch unions or at internodes with the last cut leaving a stub) have long been considered unacceptable practices by national tree associations and qualified arborists and are also prohibited by Council.
